At East Side Soup Kitchen, we believe everyone deserves a hot, nutritious meal served with dignity and compassion. Every weekday, our dedicated team of cooks and volunteers prepares and serves fresh, homemade meals to anyone in need—no questions asked.
👩🍳 Fresh Meals, Made Daily
Our kitchen staff and volunteers arrive early each morning to begin cooking and prepping meals. We are serving over 900 meals a day as of June 2025.
🙌 Volunteers Make It Happen
Volunteers help cook, prep, plate, and serve the meals. Many also assist with cleaning, organizing, and ensuring everyone who comes through our doors feels welcome and respected.
🕚 Meal Service Hours
Guests line up outside beginning around 10:30 a.m., and the doors open at 11:00 a.m. sharp.
Lunch is served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Everyone is welcome—no ID or registration is required.
🚫 Safety First
To keep our environment safe and peaceful for all:
- The facility is a weapon-free zone.
- Security is stationed at the door to ensure no prohibited items are brought inside.
- Bags may be briefly checked as a safety precaution.
This policy helps create a calm, respectful atmosphere where guests can enjoy their meal without worry.
