Fundraising Events

February - Souper Bowl Sunday - First Sunday in February. We ask churches and/or youth groups to have people in the church foyer with empty soup pots and ask members for a dollar donation for the soup kitchen.

June - ESSK Annual Golf Outing - Third Monday in June. The 2012 date will be Monday, June 18th at SAGINAW COUNTRY CLUB. It begins with a continental breakfast and registration at 8:00 a.m. Play commences at 9 a.m. The fee is $115 per golfer, which includes 18 holes of golf, cart, refreshments on the course, lunch and an awards ceremony.

We are in need of sponsorships (numerous opportunities are available from $50 to $1000), gift items and golfers. Proceeds will benefit both the Soup Kitchen's lunchtime meal program and After-School Program for area children.

August - Stuff-A-Bus - August 26th and 27th Our Bus (both the big one for food and the small one for monetary donations) will be parked in Green Acres Plaza on State Street. We ask that you bring non-perishable food donations and/or monetary donations. You can check our wish list on this site for items we especially need. Come out and see us on Friday, the 26th from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and on Saturday, the 27th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. We will gladly accept your donations.

September - Spaghetti Dinner The Spaghetti Dinner will be held on Sunday, September 25th from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. at the Soup Kitchen located at 940 East Genesee. Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for children 10 and under.

November - Annual Holiday Appeal card mailed to donors.
